It’s so likely that you will be exposed to this virus, the question you should be asking is not how to prevent exposure its how to handle exposure. In the next several blogs I’ll give you my thoughts on what this might look like.
There are lots of different considerations but they fall into two general categories:
- Get accurate and current information
- Monitor your own health status and learn steps that can improve it
I’ll cover basic health habits you should start now, supplements you might try, how to read the news and how to understand what you’re reading. I’ll also talk about killing the virus with alcohol, hand sanitizers and soap, and when you just can’t do this effectively. I’ll cover how to make decisions about travel and attending events, work and school, how to prepare your home, as well as answer some frequently asked questions.
Consider calling the office to schedule an immune boosting treatment. But please read your emails in case the office has to close. If you have any signs of illness, take your temperature and consider canceling all your activities. If you are sick, you should stay home until you know what you’ve got or you are better. If the office closes, or you can’t come in, online video or phone appointments will continue to be available. If you have access to a primary care doctor contact them if you think you might have coronavirus. They may suggest you stay home but their office will have current guidelines on testing and treatment. If you need emergency or urgent medical care or help, then get to the ER right away.
Send me your questions and I’ll do my best to answer them.
